We’re absolutely over the moon and incredibly proud of our brilliant team. It’s a huge achievement for our farm café near Beccles and a lovely recognition of everything we’re working to create here at The Farmhouse Kitchen.

Award-winning café in Norfolk
The Norfolk & Suffolk Food & Drink Awards celebrate the people, producers, businesses and places making a difference across the local food and drink scene. This year, we were thrilled to be shortlisted for Best Coffee Shop/Café alongside some brilliant businesses.
A huge thank you to Castlemeadow Villages for sponsoring the category, and to the judges for choosing The Farmhouse Kitchen as the winner. We’d also like to say a special thank you to The Assembly House for hosting such a brilliant evening, and to all the judges and team involved in making the night happen.
And, of course, a big congratulations to our fellow finalists, The Grain Store Kitchen and The Old Store. There was some tough competition in the category, which makes winning Best Coffee Shop/Café even more special.
From field to fork to Best Coffee Shop/Café
This is actually our second year celebrating at the Norfolk & Suffolk Food & Drink Awards.
Last year, we were incredibly proud to win the Field to Fork Award, recognising our connection to the farm and our approach to using great local produce.
That connection is still at the heart of what we do.
The Farmhouse Kitchen is based on our working farm at Wheatacre, near Beccles, where we serve seasonal food, homemade cakes, good coffee and plenty of reasons to sit back and enjoy the view. We’re lucky to have our own farm, our pedigree herd and a wonderful network of local suppliers around us, all of which help shape what we serve.
To now be recognised as the Best Coffee Shop/Café is a brilliant reflection of the whole team and the experience we’re working hard to create for our customers.
