The Farmhouse Kitchen proudly sits on our family farm, a sprawling, 1000-acre working farm. Located in the beautiful rural village of Wheatacre in Beccles, we welcome locals and visitors to dine in our warm and inviting kitchen, offering friendly service and great-tasting food made from fresh, local produce.

The Farmhouse Kitchen

The idea for The Farmhouse Kitchen was born shortly after the opening of our farm shop, The Pantry, here at Wheatacre Hall Farm.

With an unused building on our land in complete disrepair, we realised we had an opportunity to truly make a difference in our local area – we noticed people were beginning to get out more, meeting friends for coffee and cake, sharing stories over a hot-cooked breakfast, and deciding to eat out for lunch before heading home.

We wanted to provide a high-quality eating place for our local community, and after the success of the Pantry and the popularity of our Barns, it was an opportunity we couldn’t pass up.

Kitchen Menu

Running under a farm-to-fork philosophy, our menu is everchanging with fresh, seasonal and local produce used across all of our dishes, as well as milk from our own cows, a pedigree milking herd just shy of 500.

Expect the classic favourite dishes, along with rotating chef’s specials, and dairy delights made with our beloved milk.

View our menus for breakfast, lunch, and afternoon tea and pop by for a bite – we’d love to have you.

Please note – we are serving a daily brunch menu through January from 8.30am – 2.30pm. We are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in January.

The Pantry

When lockdown came and our local community needed to source food, we answered by doing our part – erecting a make-shift, small shop in our yard and supplying our community with local produce and, of course, our milk. Shortly after, that same shop moved to a cleaned-out cattle shed, allowing us to stay open in cold winter months and on drizzly days.

Before we knew it, we had created a farm shop on our land, or what we like to call – our Pantry.

The Barns

With eight lovingly restored luxury barns on our farm, we allow guests to experience and marvel at the stunning Norfolk countryside all around them. Our barns offer the perfect mix of rustic charm and comfortable interiors, creating a peaceful, homely setting for your short break.

About Us

As a multi-generational family-run farm and business, our heritage and story are so meaningful to us and act as the life force behind all that we do. The farm itself started with one man, a few cows and some pigs, and over the generations, we have changed, adapted and grown to where we are now. The Farmhouse Kitchen is a natural extension of our farm, giving us another opportunity to serve our local community and create meaningful connections with those around us.
