Tom’s return: A Beccles native brings Michelin-starred magic home
Let’s start with Tom, a local lad from Beccles, whose story feels like a beautiful homecoming. After earning his professional catering diploma, Tom embarked on a 15-year culinary odyssey in London, honing his skills under the tutelage of Michelin-starred chefs. His dedication and talent propelled him to the pinnacle of London’s fine dining scene.
But Tom’s culinary adventures didn’t stop there. Driven by a love for travel, he set sail on luxury yachts, cooking for the world’s elite while exploring the globe. A decade at sea, a well-stamped passport, and the joyful arrival of his daughter have brought him full circle, back to the roots he holds dear. He’s returned to raise his daughter in the familiar embrace of his hometown, and we’re incredibly fortunate that his journey has led him to our kitchen.
Billy’s global gastronomic journey finds its Suffolk anchor
Then there’s Billy, a chef whose passion for culinary excellence is evident in every dish he creates. With 16 years of experience spanning Michelin-starred restaurants and luxury hotels, Billy’s journey is a testament to his dedication. Starting as a kitchen porter at 13, he quickly rose through the ranks, mastering the fundamentals at a 2 Rosette hotel.
His adventurous spirit took him to Australia, where he refined his pastry skills at the Versace Hotel, and then to New Zealand, where he broadened his culinary horizons. Upon returning to England, he graced the kitchens of The Ritz London and Annabel’s, cementing his reputation as a master of his craft.
Most recently, Billy’s journey has brought him back to Suffolk, where he worked as a private freelance chef before joining our team at The Farmhouse Kitchen. His wealth of experience and unwavering passion for food make him an invaluable addition to our kitchen.
