A Night Worth Talking About: The Farmhouse Kitchen March Supper Club

There’s something special happening at The Farmhouse Kitchen – and if you were there for March’s supper club, you’ll know exactly what we mean.

On a crisp evening in the heart of the Waveney Valley, guests gathered for another unforgettable night of exceptional food, relaxed dining, and that unmistakable atmosphere that keeps people coming back month after month. No fuss, no pretence – just seriously good food, done properly.

An Evening That Delivered

From the moment guests arrived, the tone was set: warm, welcoming, and effortlessly enjoyable. Front of House Manager Sharon captured it best:

“A great, friendly and relaxed evening with lots of compliments about good quality food cooked and presented perfectly.”

And that’s exactly what it was – an evening where everything just worked. Great company, standout dishes, and a kitchen clearly at the top of its game.

A Menu Built to Impress

This month’s supper club menu was bold, indulgent, and designed to be shared – bringing people together over food that speaks for itself.

To Start

Red Wine Glazed Beef Short Rib
Paired with duchesse potato and Jerusalem artichoke, this dish delivered rich, deep flavour with a refined finish – setting the standard for what was to come.

The Main Event

35oz Tomahawk Sharing Steak
Served with Café de Paris butter, this was the centrepiece of the evening. Perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and made for sharing – exactly what a supper club should be about.

Sides That Stole the Show

  • Beef dripping triple cooked chips
  • Brown butter mash potato
  • Garlic and herb Portobello mushrooms
  • Confit cherry tomatoes
  • Beer battered onion rings
  • Purple sprouting broccoli with almonds and lemon pepper

Sauces to Finish It Right

  • Truffle Béarnaise
  • Port & Suffolk Stilton
  • Peppercorn & veal jus
  • Jalapeño & wild garlic chimichurri

Dessert

Rhubarb Tart with Crème Anglaise
A perfectly judged ending – seasonal, sharp, and just the right amount of indulgence.

Building Something Special

This March event is just the latest in a growing run of standout supper clubs. Following last year’s hugely popular themed evenings – including Paella Night, Mexican Fiesta, and a celebration of local game. The Farmhouse Kitchen has firmly established these monthly events as something worth marking in the calendar.

Each supper club brings something different, but the result is always the same: a memorable evening centred around quality, creativity, and genuine hospitality.

More Than Just a Meal

Set on a 1000-acre working family farm, The Farmhouse Kitchen offers something you won’t find just anywhere. This is true farm-to-fork dining – where ingredients are seasonal, local, and often sourced just down the raod from the kitchen.

From their own dairy herd supplying fresh milk across the menu, to a strong focus on sustainability and supporting local producers, everything here is done with care and intention. It’s not about trends – it’s about doing things right.

And that’s exactly what makes these supper clubs stand out.

Don’t Miss What’s Next

With events now held on the last Wednesday of every month, the supper club series is quickly becoming one of the most sought-after dining experiences in the area.

Each one is different. Each one sells fast. And each one leaves guests already looking forward to the next.

Keep your eyes peeled for the announcement of our next supper club.

What a year it’s been. In April 2025, we opened the doors to The Farmhouse Kitchen, and we honestly haven’t stopped smiling since. What began as an idea sparked by an unused, rather tired building on our farm has grown into something far bigger than we ever imagined, a place...

About Us

As a multi-generational family-run farm and business, our heritage and story are so meaningful to us and act as the life force behind all that we do. The farm itself started with one man, a few cows and some pigs, and over the generations, we have changed, adapted and grown to where we are now. The Farmhouse Kitchen is a natural extension of our farm, giving us another opportunity to serve our local community and create meaningful connections with those around us.
