The Farmhouse Kitchen Supper Club – A Beautiful Start with Paella Night

There’s something special about gathering around a table to share good food, a glass of something sparkling, and plenty of conversation. At The Farmhouse Kitchen & Pantry, our very first Supper Club did just that – and what a night it was.

On a late summer evening here in Wheatacre, Norfolk, guests arrived to the warmth of our converted stable, greeted with a glass of Chet Valley Skylark 2022 Brut and a selection of freshly prepared canapés. With the fields stretching out around us and our friendly goats pottering nearby, it was the perfect countryside setting to enjoy a relaxed evening of food, laughter, and good company.

A Menu to Remember

The night’s theme was Paella Night, and our chefs pulled out all the stops. Guests tucked into a beautifully presented charcuterie sharing platter to start, laden with Serrano ham, chorizo, Iberico ham, olives, artichokes, sun-dried tomatoes, bocconcini, and fig relish – all served with fresh bread and a simple olive oil and balsamic dip.

For the main event, large pans of traditional paella were cooked with care, with choices of meat, fish, or vegetarian, and served alongside vibrant salads – pipirrana green salad and a spiced chickpea and pepper salad. To finish, sharing plates of churros with rich chocolate dipping sauce and crema catalana with almond biscuits brought just the right touch of indulgence.

The food was incredible, but what made the night truly special was the atmosphere. Guests lingered over each course, glasses were refilled, and the conversations flowed as freely as the wine. Our friendly front of house team made sure everyone was looked after, while the chefs worked tirelessly in the kitchen to deliver something memorable.

About Us

As a multi-generational family-run farm and business, our heritage and story are so meaningful to us and act as the life force behind all that we do. The farm itself started with one man, a few cows and some pigs, and over the generations, we have changed, adapted and grown to where we are now. The Farmhouse Kitchen is a natural extension of our farm, giving us another opportunity to serve our local community and create meaningful connections with those around us.
